Sorted the bike

Luckily the thieves didn't take my other bike, that it was locked up to. I bought the bike about a year ago because it had some decent wheels that I swapped over. Looks like I'm going around the world on that one...it's a Ridgeback tourer, should be ok, well..it'll have to be..can't afford another one!
Got a definite date for leaving..3rd July..train and ferry are booked..house is rented..most of the jobs are complete...nothings going to stop us now!!

Had my bike nicked from outside the house today. Not insured...stupid! 'Living the dream' is harder than I thought!

6 MONTHS TO GO

Christmas 2012 and looking forward to the world trip. Handing my notice in at work will be the day when things start to become real. Started to gear myself up for painting plein air, which could become my only source of income while in Europe. If selling a painting is the only stress I'll have to endure....can't wait!!!

73 WEEKS (APPROX) TO GO

Not doing too well with the blog and lost track of countdown now!
Planning to cycle the coast to coast in May, need to get into training.
Bought a new domain name ...looking for a decent website DAVIDFRENCHART.COM
Off to Haworth for the weekend, pub crawl imminent.

Got some cards published and set to do the art fair next year, maybe Bristol in spring but definately Manchester in October. New plan is to pack in work slightly earlier and drive around the UK in the vw camper before we go off cycling. Cheaper than living in the house and it will get us in the swing of things to come. Also going to load up the van with my paintings and sell or drop them off at any gallery that'll take them on nthe way.
